What does a Personal Chef do?

A Personal Chef is a culinary professional who helps people with busy lives eat better, eat healthier and have more free time. Your Personal Chef does the menu planning, shopping, and cooking required for your menu or catered event.

The cost of the Service depends on the number of diners and the number of meals you select. The price of the Service includes:

How does this service work?

First, a meeting where we discuss your food preferences and dietary needs. Then, custom designed menus are created and presented for your approval. You will set a date with the chef to do the grocery shopping, with meal preparation in your home. Your dinners are packaged, labeled and left in the refrigerator or freezer with instructions on how to heat. Your kitchen is left spotless and your home is filled with the aromas of home cooking.

How often will I need your services?

Some families need weekly service while others prefer every other week or even every three weeks. It depends on your unique needs.

Where is the cooking done and what equipment do I need to have for the chef?

Meals are prepared in your kitchen. The chef brings all the tools and equipment necessary, all you need to have is a working stove, oven and refrigerator/freezer.

How long will you be in my kitchen?

That depends on how many meals, and the menu you have selected. Typically, the Service takes about 5-6 hours from start to finish.

Do I have to be home when you come to cook?

No, you do not have to be home on your scheduled cook date as long as appropriate arrangements are made in advance for the chef to gain access to your home.

How is the food packaged?

A variety of containers are used depending on the food and client preferences.

How do I get started?

Please contact the Chef to schedule a complimentary in-home consultation. The Chef will sit with you to complete a comprehensive questionnaire detailing your dining preferences, dietary needs and lifestyle requirements. 

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, gift certificates are available for all services offered. It's a great gift for new parents, those recovering from surgery, and as a special gift for someone who has everything.
